Apalla is a Filipino-American just shy of 30 years old. She is a graduate of Kaua`i High School, Pacific University, and UH Manoa Shidler College of Business. Apalla holds an Executive MBA in Health Care Management and work as an Associate Director at BAYADA Home Care. She is the second child of Dr. Antolin G. Apalla, Jr. and Mrs. Nancy Apalla, sister to Nannie Ann Apalla and Anthony Jude Apalla. She volunteers a lot of her time as Treasurer for the Kaua`i Filipino Chamber of Commerce board of directors, as committee chair for the Kaua`i Filipino Community Council’s event Miss Kaua`i Filipina, and member of clubs like Kaua`i Lions Club and Zonta Club of Kaua`i.
Juno Ann Apalla intends to bridge the gap between inequities happening within the County of Kaua’i. Focusing on improving communication systems and resolving disconnects between public input on government matters and generational gaps in leadership. Juno Apalla envisions a community of leaders from all generations, inspired to work together, create solutions, engage a diversified range of perspectives for the greater good of the entire community.
